I'm watching all these protests today- anti-free trade, anti-war, anti-U.S... and I have a question. Why don't I ever see anyone protesting all the terrorism that's going on?

You can't be serious. These people are protesting governmental policies -- for which protests can sometimes effect. Protesting Al Qaeda terrorism -- for one, it would have no effect. Like they give a crap. Two, it goes without saying. However, if such protests took place in, say, Saudi Arabia, or something like that, then yes, that might be productive. But Americans or British prtesting terrorism is like George Bush asking for more tax cuts -- does it really need to be said?

Fxckin media is so stupid that they focus on fringe groups and try to sell it as "mainstream".You can count on the people that work and pay taxes for a livng on one hand that are protesting.
Recent polls actually have support for the war going up in Great brit....But the media does not want to tell you that.

The media is't focusing on fringe groups, they're focusing on a story. That just happens to be where the story is. Protests make for good copy, always have. And they're almost always fringe groups.

I sure would like to be sitting down at Thanksgiving dinner next week and turn on the news to see Bin Laden and Husseins heads on a platter. That would be a good story to talk about during my families usual confrontation, yet fun, turkey day!

Did anyone else noticed that the British Consulate was blown up in Turkey by Al Queda?

Remeber? Those are the 9/11 guys that we stopped fighting because Saddam didn't have WMD.

The Iraq War is a huge distraction from the real War on Terror and has diverted funds and energy from the real fight. It has also coalesced different forces against us and emboldened their recruting efforts. The War in Iraq was a world-class bad idea that made the world more dangerous, not less....except maybe for the Iraqi people themselves...maybe. It was an elective, unnecessary war and was bad policy, plain and simple. But that's what you get with an agenda-driven administration. The decision to go to war with Iraq was made no later than Sept. 12, 2001, if not sooner. No we're stuck in Iraq with no strategy for success and no exit strategy, only requests for more money and new graves being dug daily. Way to go George.

If Hussein and BinLaden were proved to be killed, that would do little to stop terrorism, Islam religion breeds terror, the Quran promotes killing Jews and Christians.

D2, I would enjoy hearing your theory on how the war with Iraq made the world more dangerous. And while you are digging up examples, check out a couple of blogs written by Iraqis concerning how they feel about the overthrow of Hussain.

http://messopotamian.blogspot.com and http://healingiraq.blogspot.com are two well written accounts by Iraqis. While they may clash with your anti-Bush prejudice, it certainly offers a different perspective of Iraq than the US is getting from its media.

It made the world more dangerous because it diverted our attention from the real terrorists that want to kill us and it helped Al Qaeda infiltrate Iraq and recruit more little Al Qaedans. And it so angered many in the Muslim world as to create for demand for Al Qaeda.

Like I said, it was probably good, at least in the long run, for the Iraqi people themselves. But there were better ways of dealing with the issue as opposed to going to war when we did. The end does not justify the means. And here, there isn't even an end in sight. There is no strategy for success. There is no exit strategy. I certainly haven't heard one. It's just going to go on and on and on and leave us less prepared to deal with other important issues.

Wonderful insight.

Another always support the gov't no matter what idiot. What an awesome Nazi you would have made. If you were born in Germany in the early 1900's you would have supported everything they did during WW2.

What an absolute dumbass Igetp2s is.

Here are some quotes from the very link he posted.

The UN Member States still have no agreed-upon definition (of terrorism).

Damn, even the UN members cant agree on a definition, but we have an unemployed, uneducated idiot called Igetp2s on the rx who has it all figured out.

one state's "terrorist" is another state's "freedom fighter".

Hmmm. That is pretty much exactly what I said.

Hey dumbass, next time you post a link maybe you should post something that actually supports your idiotic opinion.
